August 1968, Actual debut of Cosmosports in "Marathon De La Route"
which is a non stop automobile race for 84 hours non.

It was a hard event to run in Nurburgring Circuit (23 km for one round) in West Germany
which is known as a hard course for 84 hours without stopping.

At the first challenge of Cosmo, we had three Japanese drivers
Nobuo Koga, Yoshimi Katayama, and Masami katakura in one car
and Belgian drivers Elde, Y.Depre, and Jipia in another car.

The two Cosmo were 4th and 5th next to Porche911, Lanchia, and Furvia at the eightyth hours.

One and half hour before the finish, the Japanese crew 's car was retired
by the rear axles damage, but the other car finished at the 4th place.

In Europe,
the first challenger from Asia with an unusual rotary engine automobile
got a lot of attention .
